5th Annual International Football is Medicine Conference 2023
The 5th Annual International Football is Medicine conference is hosted by Emory University Rollins School of Public Health to be held June 8-9, 2023. This scientific conference will bring together expert researchers from around the globe to present and discuss the increasing evidence of recreational football as a tool for the prevention and treatment of various non-communicable diseases.
Intended Audience: Football & soccer coaches, researchers, physicians, providers, post docs and students interested in learning the latest research in team sports and health.
Location: Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, Atlanta, GA, USA. Atlanta is the largest airport in the world and has many direct flights. Hotel information will be forthcoming but will be located in Decatur, GA only 2 miles (3.2 km) from the conference site. Decatur, GA is a unique small town just 4 miles from downtown Atlanta. You will have direct train access from the airport and downtown Atlanta, or explore the pocket neighborhoods in between! Decatur has many small owned businesses and restaurants that are all walking distance from the hotels. Atlanta United won’t be in town this weekend but there are lots of other sites to see in Atlanta. The Georgia Aquarium, is a short train ride away and is the largest aquarium in the US and the third largest in the world.

Abstract Submissions: Abstracts are welcome for either an oral or poster presentation. Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words and submitted as a word document to futbolmedicine@gmail.com by April 15, 2023. Please provide a structured abstract including Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion. Please put ABSTRACT in the subject header of the email. You will be notified in April of acceptance of either a poster or oral presentation.
