Full course description

When caring for persons who identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community, it is incumbent on you, their nurse or advanced practice nurse provider, to consider language, historical context, and unique health situations to provide evidenced-based, compassionate care.

Nurses are well positioned to advocate for persons when they are not receiving the quality of care needed to live up to their health potential. The objective of this module is to provide you foundational considerations, as well as resources, to continue your journey towards providing inclusive, gender-affirming, wholistic care for LGBTQIA+ community members.
