Full program description
This program contains the follows courses:
- Helicobacter Pylori Infections in Community-Based Primary Care - In this course, nurses will learn about helicobacter pylori (h. pylori) infections, how they are managed in the community-based primary care setting, and relevant nursing care to eradicate the infection and promote good gastrointestinal health.
- Hypertension in the Primary Care Setting - The definition of hypertension and diagnosis has been modified throughout the years such that the clinical nurse may be unaware of the current recommendations. This module seeks to provide a learning experience that is up-to-date with the current clinical guidelines.
- Upper Respiratory Infections in the Primary Care Setting - In this course, nurses will learn about Upper Respiratory Infections (URIs) and how they are managed in the community-based primary care setting.
- Diabetes in Primary Care Settings - In this module RNs will learn about the differences between types of diabetes, medications, complications, and areas for patient information.
Emory Nursing Professional Development Center (ENPDC) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Attendees to this CNE activity will be awarded 1.5 Continuing Nursing Education contact hours (including 0.25 pharmacotherapeutic contact hours) from ENPDC.
